Our name is inspired by Our City
In 2012, we changed our name from Designing Interactive to The Refinery. There were many reasons for this change, but chief among them was to show some hometown pride. The Industrial Revolution happened here, and J.D. Rockefeller chose to make Cleveland his home. Our name plays tribute to those industrial days that put Cleveland on the map.
