Clarity that turned feature development into product stewardship.

The Situation

iPROMOTEu knew their platform, iSuite, needed a usability overhaul. Their goal was straightforward: improve the experience to retain existing affiliates and attract new ones. As their network grew, the platform had to feel intuitive, modern, and reliable.

At the time, design decisions were somewhat inconsistent and beginning to feel dated. Without a unifying structure, new features risked compounding complexity instead of improving clarity.

The Struggle

Features were being released, but without a cohesive design system guiding the experience. As more functionality was added, maintaining consistency became harder.

If usability slipped, affiliate engagement would suffer. If engagement suffered, growth would slow. And if the platform became harder to navigate, support demands would increase.

The risk was not cosmetic. It was operational.

The Refinery’s Role

When iPROMOTEu engaged The Refinery, the focus was usability. Early on, we recognized that incremental improvements would not be enough. What they needed was structure.

We led the establishment of a formal design system in Figma, creating both an upgrade in experience and a durable framework for consistency between design and development. This became the foundation for all future enhancements.

Over time, iPROMOTEu came to rely on The Refinery as the lead voice in design decisions, shaping not just what was built, but how product choices were evaluated.

The Plan

As iPROMOTEu set a bold 60-month roadmap to drive meaningful EBITDA growth, the mobile experience became central to that strategy. Increasing affiliate engagement and reducing support burden required a stronger, more intentional product direction.

Through a Solution Refinement Engagement, we helped establish the right path forward. Our team led extensive interviews with affiliates to understand real workflows and use cases before defining the MVP. Instead of guessing at what the mobile app should include, we anchored decisions in validated needs.

This same discipline informed other significant initiatives, ensuring that each new effort aligned with long-term growth objectives and usability standards.

The Victory

The result was more than cleaner screens. Confidence increased across the organization. The mobile app achieved strong affiliate adoption. New capabilities rolled out within a consistent framework. Development moved faster because teams were no longer debating fundamentals with each release.

Most importantly, iPROMOTEu transitioned from short-term feature development to long-term product stewardship. The platform became easier to evolve, easier to support, and better aligned with the company’s long-term financial ambitions.

The Lesson

iPROMOTEu’s story shows that usability is not a design preference. It is a growth strategy.

When product decisions are anchored in real user behavior and reinforced by consistent systems, innovation compounds.

At The Refinery, that is what LoBI brings to long-term partnerships: clarity before features, and alignment that drives measurable business impact.
